Vacuum press operator — Oregon County

Join our team: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Oregon County, Missouri. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. On a typical shift you will fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; give each garment a final press before packing; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics. Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. We offer $4,300 per month plus benefits. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
