Gas installation technician — McHenry County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas installation technician in McHenry County, Illinois. You will work in a gas distribution network. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders The role involves: • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply Full-time, day shift.
