Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in Ashe County, North Carolina. On the job you will handle: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Full-time, day shift.
