Shakeout operator — Johnson County

Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Johnson County, Tennessee. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Day to day you will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant.
