Foundry worker — Lisburn and Castlereagh

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry worker in Lisburn and Castlereagh, Northern Ireland. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings You will operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. £115 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
