Immediate opening: we are hiring a power float operator in Brown County, Nebraska. You will be based on a high-rise slab pour. On a typical shift you will erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours We offer $5,400 per month plus benefits.
