Now hiring: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Gloucestershire, England. You will work in a garment export house. Ideal candidate: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory On a typical shift you will fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
