Now hiring: we are hiring a metal caster in Ouray County, Colorado. Day-to-day duties: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
