Furnace operator • Hall County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Hall County, Texas. The job is at a busy iron foundry. On the job you will handle: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Pay around $3,250 per project, based on your experience.
