Bread and bun maker — Marin County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bread and bun maker in Marin County, California. You will be based at a café with an on-site bakery. You will monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them. You should have: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Accurate at weighing and following recipes Overtime paid at a premium rate.
