Foundry worker wanted in Letcher County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry worker in Letcher County, Kentucky. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. Your main tasks: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Pay around $220 per day, based on your experience.
