Core maker • Estill County, Kentucky

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a core maker in Estill County, Kentucky. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal On a typical shift you will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Contact us to fix an interview.
