Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Somerset, England. The role involves buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish. You should have: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Full-time, day shift.
