Urgent requirement: die-casting operator (Michigan)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Lapeer County, Michigan. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. You will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Rotating shifts.
