Urgent requirement: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Hardin County, Illinois. Ideal candidate: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances The role involves: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits.
