Bar bender and fixer — Tazewell County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Tazewell County, Virginia. On the job you will handle: • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift What we are looking for: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Full-time, day shift.
