We are recruiting: we are hiring a cold room technician in Rockbridge County, Virginia. The job is in an HVAC service company. Ideal candidate: • ITI or diploma in refrigeration / RAC trade • 2+ years hands-on experience in refrigeration and AC • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds Day to day you will trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution; pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture; clean condenser and evaporator coils; charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight; braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch; check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge.
