Rebar fixer wanted in Calhoun County

Join our team: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Calhoun County, Illinois. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. What we are looking for: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling The role involves: • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $3,100 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
