Single needle operator — Appanoose County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a single needle operator in Appanoose County, Iowa. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. Day-to-day duties: • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus 1+ years on the tools preferred.
