The role involves read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors. Ideal candidate: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing 5+ years on the tools preferred. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
