Carpenter — Scott County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a carpenter in Scott County, Virginia. You will be based in a cabinet-making workshop. Your main tasks: • Read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board Requirements: • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $5,300 per month plus benefits. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
