Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixer in Smyth County, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Day to day you will read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length.
