Now hiring: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Trigg County, Kentucky. The role involves: • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Six days a week, one day off.
