Now hiring: we are hiring a carpenter in Potter County, South Dakota. On a typical shift you will erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours; cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw; build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions; install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet. Requirements: • Good eye for detail and a clean finish • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings Six days a week, one day off. $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
