Wood machinist — Angus

Join our team: we are hiring a wood machinist in Angus, Scotland. The job is on a residential housebuilding project. The role involves erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring; read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists; fix studwork and plasterboard partitions. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Own basic hand tools • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work Full-time with occasional weekends.
