Lifting rigger — Ibarapa Central

Vacancy available: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Ibarapa Central, Oyo State. The job is at a shipyard. On the job you will handle: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness 3+ years on the tools preferred.
