Blocklayer — Winnebago County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a blocklayer in Winnebago County, Illinois. You will be based on a commercial construction site. On a typical shift you will pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge. Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage 6+ years on the tools preferred. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
