Banksman wanted in Clay County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a banksman in Clay County, Kentucky. The job is at a container port. On a typical shift you will coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use. Ideal candidate: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket 3+ years on the tools preferred. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
