Argon welding operator — Kwali

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Kwali, Federal Capital Territory. Your main tasks: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Overtime paid at a premium rate.
