Foundry worker — Orange County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry worker in Orange County, Indiana. Your main tasks: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 4+ years on the tools preferred.
