Great opportunity: we are hiring a moulder in Shelby County, Ohio. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Your main tasks: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience.
