Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection On a typical shift you will grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal.
