Immediate opening: we are hiring a counter butcher in Okfuskee County, Oklahoma. You will be based at a halal meat counter. Requirements: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Day to day you will trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife.
