Single needle operator — Queens County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a single needle operator in Queens County, New York. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. The role involves topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching. Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Meals and transport allowance provided.
