Single needle operator — Lake County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a single needle operator in Lake County, Michigan. You will be based on a ready-made garment production line. On the job you will handle: • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
