Now hiring: we are hiring a cnc turner in Jeff Davis County, Texas. You will be based at an auto-components manufacturing unit. Requirements: • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred Day-to-day duties: • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet Part-time with flexible hours.
