Precision welder • Howard County, Missouri

Great opportunity: we are hiring a precision welder in Howard County, Missouri. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. You will select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. Requirements: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. We offer $250 per day plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
