Join our team: we are hiring a fine-dining server in Halifax County, Virginia. The job is at a beach resort. Ideal candidate: • Prior experience as a waiter in a restaurant or hotel • Ability to work fast under pressure during peak service Day-to-day duties: • Clear and reset tables between covers • Handle guest complaints and escalate to the captain or manager • Polish glasses, cutlery and crockery during mise en place • Punch orders through to the kitchen as a KOT (kitchen order ticket) • Check back during the meal and handle special requests • Greet guests, seat them and present the menu Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
