Great opportunity: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Rutherford County, North Carolina. You will work on a residential tower site. What we are looking for: • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • Able to read formwork and structural drawings Day to day you will de-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse; apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting; check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints; read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters.
