Restoration bricklayer • Imperial County, California

Join our team: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Imperial County, California. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Day-to-day duties: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish $5,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
