Machine operator (earthworks) — Essex County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Essex County, New York. On a typical shift you will lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly; load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage; dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels; backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs. What we are looking for: • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Valid CPCS/NPORS card or local heavy-equipment licence • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
