Now hiring: we are hiring a framing carpenter in San Diego County, California. You will work at a shopfitting company. Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage Day to day you will build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions; glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge.
