Metal caster wanted in Sangamon County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a metal caster in Sangamon County, Illinois. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. On the job you will handle: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
