Immediate opening: we are hiring a crane rigger in Jasper County, Mississippi. You will be based on a high-rise building site. Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Confident with standard crane hand signals You will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear. Rotating shifts. $220 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
