Sewing machine operator — Washington County

Join our team: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Washington County, Iowa. The job is on an export house sewing floor. On a typical shift you will keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance. Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching 6+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift.
