Structural MIG welder — Gilmer County

Join our team: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Gilmer County, West Virginia. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Your main tasks: • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Willing to work shifts and overtime Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
