Now hiring: we are hiring a meat cutter in Jefferson County, Montana. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Day to day you will monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Six days a week, one day off.
