Urgent requirement: we are hiring an uPVC welding machine operator in Keweenaw County, Michigan. The job is in the profile cutting and welding bay. Ideal candidate: • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres • 2+ years' experience fabricating uPVC windows and doors • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine The role involves: • Read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile • Crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame • Fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails • Rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
