Concrete labourer — Franklin County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete labourer in Franklin County, Illinois. Day to day you will fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified; discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $5,400 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
