Pipe tig welder — Colfax County

Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Colfax County, New Mexico. The role involves: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
